Associate Software Engineer

This opportunity is within dentsu's integrated global capability that delivers world-class, agile services across the dentsu network - Dentsu Creative, Dentsu Media and Merkle. In this role, you will be part of Merkle, enabling delivery of innovative data and technology solutions for Merkle's global brands.
 

As an Associate Software Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining customer journeys as part of our marketing automation programs. This includes journey design and configuration, audience segmentation and data interrogation. Your job will be to scope, estimate & implement as per defined project scope and architecture. This involves studying the concept, strategy and vision for the project, including architectural schemes, features, functionality & building user scenarios, data models, information structure, workflows as well as working out technical specifications and test methods. You will also be creating implementation plans and estimates for new and existing clients.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Onboarding & On the job training will be provided on respective technologies covering any one of the following:
• SQL and ETL Development and Operations
• Campaign Development, Campaign Execution and Digital Messaging
• Develop Audience and Deciisioning platforms
• Passionate about the customer experience and driving customer success
• Take-up low to mid level tasks with less supervision
• Able to articulate and convey technical concepts in a similar manner to a mixed audience
• Identify and resolve issues in client instructions prior to execution
• Interface directly with internal teams, to address and manage client requests and communicate status
• Creates complete QC queries or scripts to verify completeness and accuracy of file output
• Work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
• Express ideas clearly and concisely

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master Degree in Computer Science or IT

 

Must Have Skills:

• Good Communication skills verbal and written                                 
• Basic understanding of Databases/SQL/UNIX                                 
• Basic understanding of Python or Java Scripting or Node.JS                                     

 

Good to have Skills: 

• Write SQL queries and Understanding of ETL concepts and DW
• Familiar with APIs (REST, Open APIs, CURL)    
• Innovative, problem-solving, and solutions-oriented mindset
• Knowledge of Digital Marketing and Digital Messaging             
• Front-end web app development

What you will do: (Role)

As a Support Engineer for Walmart , you’ll have the opportunity to

• Work on ATLAS newest expansion of NextGen/GLS
• You will work in our own internal open stack cloud, Azure, using several technologies including but not limited to JAVA, Spring, Kafka, Azure SQL DB, REST APIs, etc.
• Help entire support delivery end to end
• Work very closely with different product and business stakeholders at various locations in US and India to drive the execution of multiple business plans and technologies
• Support business objectives by collaborating with business partners to define priorities, identify opportunities and drive resolutions
• Independently own and address and resolve applications issues, provide updates and drive root cause analysis including identifying issue patterns and working with Engg teams to address them
• Responsible for coming up with processes to maintain incident support metrics like backlog, MTTR, INC SLAs etc
• Plan, execute and implement applications and configuration change procedures
• Responsible for on-call support as per pre-determined shift roster which includes weekend support. Any weekend support provided translates into compoffs on weekdays as per pre-approved plan
• Conceptualize the idea for process improvements and/or automation frameworks that will make for more effective Support engagement
• Flexibility - responsibilities may require occasional evening and weekend work

What you will bring:(Eligibility)

• An Engineering Degree - B.E/B.Tech/MS in any stream – Computer Science preferred.
• 1+ years of relevant experience.
• Very strong understanding and experience in the area of software development lifecycle.
• Strong Java/J2EE, Spring skills.
• Working knowledge in a Cloud based service.
• Strong understanding of CS Fundamentals, Data Structures, Algorithms and Problem Solving
• Ability to code/Script in one of the languages (C#, Python and Java) and working knowledge of SQL and Databases is must
• Worked on monitoring (Dynatrace/Appdynamics) and alerting tools (Xmatters/PagerDuty)

Technical Skills:
Core Skills : JAVA,J2EE, Scripting (Shell/Python) - Any one preferable
DataBase: SQL Database - Must have

One important operation on matrices is the transpose. The transpose of a matrix is the mirror image of the matrix across a diagonal line, called the main diagonal, running down and to the right, starting from its upper left corner. We can represent as (A^T)i,j = Aj,i

Vectors can be thought of as matrices that contain only one column. The transpose of a vector is therefore a matrix with only one row. A vector by writing out its elements in the text inline as a row matrix, then using the transpose operator to turn it into a standard column vector,

 e.g., x = [x1, x2, x3 ]^T

2 &3 . Addition  & Subtraction of Matrix

We can add matrices to each other, as long as they have the same shape, just by adding their corresponding elements.

Example C = A + B   where Ci,j = Ai,j + Bi,j .

We can also add a scalar to a matrix or multiply a matrix by a scalar, just by performing that operation on each element of a matrix.

Exaple  D = a * B + c  where Di,j = a * Bi,j + c

4. Multiplying Matrices and Vectors

One of the most important operations involving matrices is multiplication of two matrices. The matrix product of matrices A and B is a third matrix C. In order for this product to be defined, A must have the same number of columns as B has rows. If A is of shape m × n and B is of shape n × p, then C is of shape m × p. We can write the matrix product just by placing two or more matrices together, e.g. C= AB

The product operation is defined by C_i,j =  ∑ A_i,kB_k,j

Matrix product operations have many useful properties that make mathematical analysis of matrices more convenient.

 For example, matrix multiplication is distributive:

A(B + C) = AB + AC

 It is also associative:

A(BC) = (AB)C

Matrix multiplication is not commutative (the condition AB = BA does not always hold), unlike scalar multiplication. However, the dot product between two vectors is commutative: x^Ty = y^Tx.
