What you will do: (Role)
As a Support Engineer for
Walmart , you’ll have the opportunity to
- Work on ATLAS newest expansion of
NextGen/GLS
- You will work in our own internal
open stack cloud, Azure, using several technologies including but not
limited to JAVA, Spring, Kafka, Azure SQL DB, REST APIs, etc.
- Help entire support delivery end to
end
- Work very closely with different
product and business stakeholders at various locations in US and India to
drive the execution of multiple business plans and technologies
- Support business objectives by
collaborating with business partners to define priorities, identify
opportunities and drive resolutions
- Independently own and address and
resolve applications issues, provide updates and drive root cause analysis
including identifying issue patterns and working with Engg teams to
address them
- Responsible for coming up with
processes to maintain incident support metrics like backlog, MTTR, INC
SLAs etc
- Plan, execute and implement
applications and configuration change procedures
- Responsible for on-call support as
per pre-determined shift roster which includes weekend support. Any
weekend support provided translates into compoffs on weekdays as per
pre-approved plan
- Conceptualize the idea for process
improvements and/or automation frameworks that will make for more
effective Support engagement
- Flexibility - responsibilities may
require occasional evening and weekend work
What you will bring:(Eligibility)
- An Engineering Degree - B.E/B.Tech/MS
in any stream – Computer Science preferred.
- 1+ years of relevant experience.
- Very strong understanding and
experience in the area of software development lifecycle.
- Strong Java/J2EE, Spring skills.
- Working knowledge in a Cloud based
service.
- Strong understanding of CS
Fundamentals, Data Structures, Algorithms and Problem Solving
- Ability to code/Script in one of the
languages (C#, Python and Java) and working knowledge of SQL and Databases
is must
- Worked on monitoring (Dynatrace/Appdynamics)
and alerting tools (Xmatters/PagerDuty)
Technical Skills:
Core Skills : JAVA,J2EE, Scripting (Shell/Python) - Any one preferable
DataBase: SQL Database - Must have
Messaging and communication: Kafka/RESTful – Good to have
App monitoring tools: Splunk, Dynatrace/Appdynamics - Basic debugging knowledge
